Alumni Speakers Program
The Yale Club of Sacramento invites you to spend the morning with Akhil Reed Amar, Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at Yale College and Yale Law School, where he teaches constitutional law. Professor Amar clerked on the First Circuit for then-Judge Stephen Breyer. He is the only living professor to have won the University’s triple crown – the Sterling Chair for scholarship, the DeVane Medal for teaching, and the Lamar Award for alumni services.
Professor Amar has been cited by Supreme Court justices across the spectrum in more than four dozen cases. He regularly testifies before Congress at the invitation of both parties. Professor Amar ranks among America’s five most cited legal scholars. Professor Amar will share his insights on constitutional law today.
We will be inviting the newly admitted Class of 2028 and their families to attend this event, and to welcome them to the Yale community. Parents of current Yale students or recent Yale graduates are especially encouraged to attend to share your insights. Decisions will be released April 1, and we hope to recruit new admits to choose Yale!
